This page lists common terms used in Mistfall Hunter and its related services.

| Gyldhunter | A player-controlled hunter who ventures into forbidden lands consumed by the Gyldenmist. |
| Fate Coins | An in-game currency used to purchase cosmetic items. Fate Coins are also included with the Deluxe Edition. |
| Cross-platform matchmaking | A feature that allows players on different supported platforms to match with one another. It is supported in the release version. |
| Steam Family Sharing | A Steam feature for sharing a game library with family or other accounts. If cheats are used, both the borrower and the original owner are subject to a permanent ban. |
| Battlefield server | A server used for combat and matchmaking. The official FAQ lists locations in China, the United States, Germany, Singapore, and Brazil. |
| North American build | The version provided by default to store accounts in specified regions. It can connect only to the North American servers located in the United States. |
